To celebrate their 60th anniversary, Breitling has redesigned its SuperOcean Héritage line and dedicated the new collection to modern day explorers.
The SuperOcean diving watch was first launched in 1957 and it was quickly adopted by the first enthusiasts of leisure diving. Breitling has also preserved the spirit of the original model in the SuperOcean Héritage line and has become one of the brand’s best collections, thanks to its unique and timeless look combined with cutting-edge technology.
Breitling has refreshed its iconic design whilst maintaining its character. The main development on the piece is a new steel bezel with a high-tech ceramic ring that is scratchproof and shock-resistant. The unique shape of the hands and the slightly cone-shaped hour-markers, reinforces ties with the original 1957 model.
The SuperOcean Héritage II has been produced in two watch sizes (42 and 46 mm) and as a 46mm chronograph which come in three colours: black, blue and bronze. The piece has technical qualities that make it the perfect companion for adventures on land, at sea and in the air.
The sturdy steel case with its screw-locked crown is water-resistant to 200m (660ft). The rotating bezel, with a luminous dot at 12 o’clock, is fitted with a 120-tooth system which enables extremely accurate adjustment and very smooth rotation – whether you want it to check a dive time or marking off various time measurements.
