This pre-owned Rolex Oyster Datejust is the 16030 model dating from the mid 1980’s. The 36mm stainless steel case features a fluted bezel surrounding a gold toned dial. This Rolex is an automatic watch and is attached to a dark brown leather strap. The case has minor marks and scratches on the back, but is in an overall good condition. The glass and dial are in excellent conditions.
Model History:
The Rolex Datejust was introduced in 1945 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Rolex. It was the first automatic wristwatch to feature a date window. It was the first Rolex model to feature the now-iconic Cyclops date magnification lens, which enhances the legibility of the date. The Datejust features Rolex’s patented Oyster case, known for its water resistance and durability. The Oyster case design has become a hallmark of Rolex’s dive and sports watches.
