This pre owned Rolex Submariner is the famous 16610 model dating from 1997. The stainless steel watch features a robust 40mm case size and houses an automatic calibre 3135 movement. The 16610 offers water resistance to 300m and boasts a Triplock system for additional water resistance at the crown. This Submariner has a Tritium dial for luminescence and ‘Swiss’ marking at the dial base, two inclusions that Rolex phased out in 1999. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal and the date window is magnified by a Cyclops lens at the 3 o’clock position. This Submariner attaches to its original Rolex Oyster Steel bracelet, complete with a flip lock clasp and divers extension.

Model History:
The Rolex Submariner was first introduced in 1953 to refine the relationship between Rolex and water. Originally, the brand was focused on water resistant and waterproof watches, not diving watches. In 1953, the Submariner became arguably the most famous diving watch of all time. Famously, the Submariner has featured in a variety of James Bond films, too.
