Welcome to Parkers Jewellers Ltd. By accessing our site at parkersjewellers.co.uk or contacting us by telephone or any other medium, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions of use as amended from time to time.
We are not authorised dealers for the resale of any of the pre-owned watches for any of the manufacturers we feature on our site.
All of the watches on sale are authenticated by our experts who each have over 30 years experience of watch manufacture and repair. All movements are checked and, where there is a serial number, this too is checked for authenticity. All our watches carry the free Parkers 12 months warranty. All pre owned watches sold by Parkers Jewellers are not guaranteed as water resistant unless the timepiece in question is still covered by the manufacturers warranty
We have linked up with SagePay (formerly Protx), a secure payment system that is used by many financial institutions to ensure safety. At Parkers, we encourage you to use this system as this ensures that all of your personal data is held only by the card issuers and banks. It ensures that Parkers does not have access to the data submitted when you make your purchase and it remains solely with the card issuers.
We also use SagePay because it uses the 3D secure system – effectively the equivalent of card chip and pin – the pin being a security password that you set between you and your card issuer. It adds an extra level of security for you and ensures that Parkers is not subject to fraudulent use of cards.
Where a card holder does not have 3D security on his card, shipping may be delayed by up to 2 working days until the payment is cleared by your card provider.
Unlike some sites, we do not surcharge for the use of debit or credit cards. Where payment is by cheque, we must have cleared funds in our account before the goods are despatched. If a bankers draft has been provided, goods will not be despatched until the draft has been appropriately authenticated.
Our advertised watches are pre-owned and many are classic models that are no longer available. We take great care when we buy watches to ensure that they come from reliable sources.
Once we get the item back to our premises, our expert watchmakers check the watch over and give it the Parkers MOT. In case you need any assurance, our team has over 60 years experience between them and it is why we give all our watches our free Parkers 12 months warranty.
Once the watch has been examined thoroughly, we load its photograph onto our website, along with the details pertinent to it’s movement, overall condition and any other informative comments.
This system is one that works well for us and our customers. As at the end of January, Parkers has attained a customer approval rating of 100% on Ebay, and a Trustpilot Rating of 9.6 out of 10.
Collecting a watch
Customers can inspect and collect the watch of their choice from our premises in Hillsborough, Sheffield by appointment. We would ask customers to make an appointment at least one day prior to the day they wish to visit if at all possible.
Some watches are sold on behalf of our clients on a commission basis, and therefore may not be carried in stock. It is therefore essential that you contact us prior to visiting our premises to avoid disappointment.
We will do our best to accommodate where an appointment is not made, but we would point out that customers who turn up unannounced may be kept waiting in busy times. For your convenience and ours, we would of course prefer to avoid this if at all possible.
All watches that we post out are sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery and, as such, are given their own unique tracking number, to allow us to monitor its progress. Packages are despatched within 48 hours and in most cases if your order is placed by midday, it will arrive with you by the next day (excluding weekends). All parcels must be signed for by an adult at the delivery address. Adult is defined as an individual who is over 18 years of age.
The package must be checked for signs of damage prior to signing as liability for loss, theft or damage passes from Parkers to the customer once the item(s) has been signed for. Customers are liable for the cost of returned goods unless agreed otherwise in writing (or email) by Parkers.
The price shown in the shopping cart is the price you pay at the time of purchase, subject to any adjustment for shipping. For customers outside the EU, it is your responsibility to take whatever steps you believe are appropriate to facilitate the import of your vintage watch.
If you decide that you want to return a watch that you have bought from stock, you will be refunded on condition that you do so within 7 working days of receiving the watch. A full refund will be made on condition that the item has not been damaged and that all the original associated items that were sold to you are returned in the same condition that they were supplied in.
Public Liability & Indemnity
In all cases, without exception, liability/indemnity and all claims for damage or loss however caused are limited to the cost of the watch itself.
