The Datejust was originally launched in 1945 to celebrate Rolex’s 40th anniversary. The iconic design of this model has changed very little throughout the decades and while many collectors and enthusiasts focus their attention on the sport ranges, the Datejust has remained popular during its continuous production.

Unlike many of the sport models available, the Datejust has been designed for everyday wear with the intention of getting you through any occasion in style. The classic aesthetics – either an oyster or jubilee bracelet, case proportions and cyclops glass – make this model instantly recognisable as a quality Rolex timepiece. Since production started over 70 years ago, the range has undergone subtle movement upgrades and design alterations.
One of the many consistencies with the design includes the dial layout. The text “Rolex Oyster Perpetual Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified” simply shows this is an automatic movement and has undergone the thorough testing set by Rolex to ensure top standards at met at all times.
