Introducing this highly collectible understated Rolex Oyster Precision Air-King 5500, dating from 1974.

This iconic classic Rolex has a 34mm stainless steel case, a black dial with sharp silver indices, hands, and lume markers, protected by a gently domed acrylic glass.

Within the steel case, this Air-King is powered by an automatic calibre 1520 Rolex movement, which has been thoroughly assessed by our watchmakers.

The watch is attached to its original Rolex Oystersteel 7835-19 bracelet, which is in good condition.

This Rolex Air-King 5500 is provided with a Parkers 12-month warranty and Parkers watch box.

Model History:

Before the Air-King came the Rolex Air series. The Air-King model stood proudly alongside the Air-Lion, Air-Tiger, and Air-Giant. The Air-King collection was originally created in 1945 to honour the pilots of the Royal Air Force and their bravery in World War Two. The Air-King is the last surviving collection from the Air range. The 5500 model was produced from the late 1950s until the end of the 80s, with a few different caliber movements fitted along the way.

The black dial Air-King is considered one of the rarer Rolex Air-King models on the market.

Condition Report:

Overall excellent condition.

At Parkers, we use Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm for all shipping. This is a guaranteed next-day delivery, expected to arrive with you by 1pm at the latest, and theparcel will need to be signed for. This is not only insured to the highest level via Royal Mail, but it’s also further covered by our private insurance.

We will provide you with a tracking reference once the watch is ready to be sent out. We will also always coordinate with you to make sure that we’re sending the watch out at a convenient time for you, where either you or someone else will be able to accept and sign for the parcel.

You are also welcome to collect the watch from any of our stores and concessions, should that suit you better.

If you decide that you want to return an item that you have bought online, you will be refunded on the condition that you notify us that you will be returning the item within 14 working days of receiving it. A full refund will be made within seven working days of the return on the condition that the item has not been damaged and that all the original associated items that were sold to you are returned in the same condition that they were supplied in.

If the purchased item has been in any way tampered with or altered by the customer, another jeweller, watchmaker or any other third party, the warranty and the return policy will cease to apply, and the item becomes non-refundable and non-returnable. Watches must be returned with the security tag still in place.

If the item is purchased in-store after a viewing, Parkers, in line with UK law, will not refund the item due to any change of mind.

For any returns via post, we will provide you with a pre-paid and insured Royal Mail shipping bag. All you’ll need to do once you receive this bag, is parcel the watch back up securely and drop it into a local post oNice. They’ll scan the barcode and provide you with a tracking reference receipt. Please keep this safe.

All of our watches are covered by a one-year warranty. We will provide you with a Parkers warranty card on purchase that has been dated and signed by one of our team. The warranty covers any issues within the movement. Please don’t hesitate to contact us should you purchase a watch that begins to have running issues during or after the one-year warranty.

We accept all credit and debit cards. Our payment platform via our website will provide you with a receipt instantly after purchasing a watch or accessory. We will then reconfirm your purchase as soon as possible with further Parkers receipts, as well as arrange shipping or collection with you. Should you wish to pay over the phone rather than via the website, then please feel free to contact us.

I can not fault had watch delivered on time and well packed, a slight problem with the watch and reported it to Parkers return envelope sent to me next day for it to go back to Parkers to be adjusted, a great customer service, I will be using them in.the future.
